Officials charged scandal-plagued livestreamer “Chud the Builder” with attempted murder following gunfire outside a Tennessee courthouse Wednesday.
District Attorney General Robert J. Nash of the 19th Judicial District issued a statement saying the 28-year-old streamer, known for his racially-charged and often rage-bait social media content, was allegedly involved in a confrontation at 1:20 pm outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, according to NBC News. Nash alleged that Chud the Builder, whose real name is Dalton Eatherly, was involved in an incident with an “unknown male,” which escalated to gunfire. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said both men sustained gunshot wounds.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said Eatherly was charged with attempted murder, employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, according to NBC News.
The livestreamer is detained in a Montgomery County Jail pending an arraignment, where bond will be determined.
“It’s unfortunate that incidents like this are happening in our community. This kind of violence won’t be tolerated,” Sheriff Fuson of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release, according to NBC News.

It is believed that Eatherly was scheduled to appear at the courthouse at 9am as the defendant in a contract/debt matter.
The livestreamer was arrested Sunday in Nashville after allegedly leaving Bob’s Steak & Chop House without paying his $371.55 bill. He was charged with disorderly conduct and theft of services, according to NBC News.
