Most of the co-hosts of “The View” imploded with furious anger over reports that some Democrats were questioning whether Kamala Harris should continue as vice president for the 2024 presidential ticket with President Joe Biden.
The women were responding to comments from Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts refusing to endorse Harris for the 2024 ticket.
“I don’t know what the hell is wrong with Democrats. Listen, here’s the bottom line guys, Joe Biden is going to be your nominee. Stop talking about how old he is and Kamala Harris is going to be your vice president,” yelled Ana Navarro.
The crowd gave very muted applause at the statement of support for Harris.
“So stop fretting. Stop wringing your hands and get behind your ticket. Because on the other side the alternative is [President] Donald Trump (R) or [Florida Gov.] Ron DeSantis (R). So you tell me what you prefer!” she continued.
“I love this,” Navarro continued. “I love that they — they said in the story — I don’t know if it’s true, that Kamala is not, that madam vice president is not responding to the calls from Senator Warren. Good. If they’re going to be doing this, don’t show up to fundraise for them. Don’t show up to campaign for them. Don’t pick up their phone calls. Get with the program.”
She went on to accuse Warren of playing in to the criticism of Fox News and others who have mocked and ridiculed Harris.
“Democrats have got to come out and reinforce Kamala, they got to stop playing into the hands of these people who cannot stand that she is the first woman, the first woman of color vice president, and don’t want her to concede,” Navarro said.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out that there was a lack of policy accomplishments for the vice president, but that suggestion was absolutely rejected by the other hosts, who blamed racism and sexism instead.
“I’m surprised that there’s concern,” responded Sunny Hostin, “I think it has a lot to do with that she’s a black woman. Black women get everything done! We’ve saved this country’s Democracy for centuries.”
When Griffin challenged Hostin to name some policy accomplishments from Harris, Hostin rambled on incoherently and attacked former vice president Mike Pence instead.
Sara Haines appeared to disagree with Hostin by pointing out that Harris had fallen short in speaking well during her speeches.
Harris has been remarkably unpopular during the first Biden term, and her office has been stymied by numerous controversies and staffers leaving for starrier climes. Defenders of the vice president have blamed racism and sexism for any criticism against Harris.
