Kevin Hart notified fans Wednesday about the silly dare that put him in a wheelchair for 6-8 weeks.
“Guys, I blew all my shit!” the comedian said in his social media video. “Tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn — I don’t even know what that is, but I tore ’em. … I can’t walk!” he said. He poked fun at himself while shaking his head over his current misfortune. Hart rolled his wheelchair around for added effect and blamed the situation on the aging process. He said he suffered injuries after a “debate” with retired New England Patriots player Stevan Ridley over who could sprint faster.
“I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff … and I was told to sit my ass down,” Hart said.
He admitted Ridley came out on top as the faster runner during their attempt at a 40-yard dash that caused his injuries.
“What are we competing for at this age? What am I doing?” Hart said as he pondered the recent events.
“Why did I even race? Stupidest shit ever! Now I can’t walk…”
Hart went on to tell fans his video should serve as a public service announcement to those over the age of 40 to “respect their age.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, the age 40 is real,” he said.
“Respect that age or that age will make you respect it.” (RELATED: Several Injuries Reported During Internet Star MrBeasts’s Competition Show)
“I was just forced to respect it,” Hart said, as he muttered about his defeat. “I’ve got to be the stupidest man alive…”
Ridley responded to Hart’s video by commenting on his post.
“I SAW @TOMBRADY DO IT AT YOUR AGE SO I FIGURED YOU HAD THE JOICE TOO BIG BRO!” Ridley wrote, referring to his former New England Patriots teammate. “MY BAD @KEVINHARTFOREAL! HEAL UP AND PEEKP MAKING US ALL LAUGH!”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson responded with a humorous message for Hart.
“I tore my adductor off my pelvis during a wrestling match. True story. You’ll be fine. You’ll grow a 3rd ball but you’ll be fine 😂 Heal up.”
