The multi-tasking awareness that he had here was absolutely incredible.
When it comes to gender reveals, not everybody is a fan of them, but as we all know, they happen. And my whole thing? If you are going to do one, make sure that it’s done in spectacular fashion. Don’t cringe people out like most do.
Just take Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Anthony Nunez, for example, who did one in spectacular fashion for his brother. And it happened right in the middle of an MLB game. (RELATED: Phillies’ Alec Bohm Refuses To Honor Mother’s Day Amid Legal Battle Against Parents)
In Sunday’s 2-1 victory against the Athletics, Nunez pitched for one inning, getting a strikeout in the process. Afterwards, he proceeded to walk back to the dugout, and while doing so, he pinpointed where the MASN television cameras were. From there, he stared right at them, and then seemingly said the words, “It’s a boy.”
Baltimore announcer Kevin Brown explained the situation in full detail afterwards.

Personally, I don’t mind gender reveals, but I totally get why people get annoyed with them. But despite how you feel about gender reveals, you have to acknowledge that Nunez was absolutely brilliant with this one.
It was the awareness that got me. He was able to 100% lock in to be able to get a shutout inning, look up to the sky and thank Jesus after the fact and then pull off the gender reveal for his brother.
Grade-A work by Anthony Nunez. Grade-A work.
