The Democratic Party’s social media account made it clear on Wednesday that the old mantra of “When they go low, we go high” is dead in the water.
Well, at least where Stephen Miller is concerned.
On Tuesday night, the party’s social media account supported Texas Senate Candidate James Talarico in his quest to beat Texas Republican Ken Paxton in November.
“Fired up. Ready to go. It’s time to take back Texas,” the rah-rah message read.
The post was just a simple way to get the base excited for the November midterms, but Miller apparently thought it was the perfect time to troll those danged libs with disinformation about Talarico:
The Democrats made history in Texas by nominating their first transgender senate candidate.
It’s the latest attempt by Republicans to tar Talarico, who experts say gives the Democrats their best chance to get a senator in the Lone Star State in decades.
Previous GOP attacks on Talarico have reached some bizarre levels, including the false suggestion that he is a vegan, and the notion that he took a class of school kids on a field trip to the University of Texas when he was a teacher was somehow … creepy?
But the Democratic Party’s social media account apparently didn’t have time to deal with Miller’s B.S. ― and gave this blunt, foul-mouthed response:
Miller’s wife, podcaster Katie Miller, fought back by identifying the woman supposedly behind the account and suggesting she only posted it because “she’s 30 [and] unmarried with no kids.”
Other conservatives also chimed in to criticize the Democrats for using the same type of attacks the Republicans have used for years.
In fact, one person perfectly summed up the whole thing in one post.
Miller continued his Talarico trolling by mocking a photo posted by the Democrats of the candidate eating barbecue.
