Democrats Prove They Hate Trump More Than Death, Destruction And Economic Depression

Several prominent Democrats who positioned themselves as anti-war politicians at the onset of the Iran War have recently proved they hate President Donald Trump more than they hate a bloody, costly Middle East conflict.

One would think that if a Democrat truly believed the Iran War was such a catastrophe for the U.S., the people of Iran and the Middle East region as a whole, a peace deal — even one orchestrated in part by Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance — would be welcomed. If peace is the ultimate goal, should it matter if the peacemaker is the Orange Man from Queens? It really shouldn’t, if one is deeply opposed to war. Despite the significant progress made by the Trump White House in finally bringing the Iran War to an end, opportunistic Democrats have met what could have been a moment of refreshing unity with the White House with typical anti-Trump rancor instead.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer suggested June 18 that the administration would need Congressional authorization for the peace talks to proceed.

“If Trump wants to send hundreds of billions of dollars to Iran,” he wrote on X, “he’ll need to do it with Republican votes. Democrats will not be helping Trump send $300 billion to Iran.”

The U.S. is worse off because of Trump’s incompetence, his ego, and his inability to listen to facts.

Democrats will not be helping Trump send $300 billion to Iran.

He did some damage control a few hours later: “As I’ve said from day one, this reckless, illegal war was a mistake and it’s no surprise it led to a shameful deal. This war must end.”

Democratic Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy said the deal was “humiliating” and attacked MOU proposal #6 specifically. The proposal states: “The United States of America undertakes, with regional partners, to develop a definitive mutually agreed plan with at least USD 300 Billion, for the reconstruction and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

However, Murphy characterized it as a “reparations payment,” and suggested taxpayers would be on the hook. In reality, the MOU just says the U.S. has committed to a plan to create the fund; it’s not a direct payment to Iran; and the U.S. won’t be responsible for funding all of it.

The humiliating Iran deal requires the U.S. to come up with a $300 billion reparations payment to Iran. That’s more than Iran’s entire GDP.

Trump says taxpayers won’t pay for it.

Democratic Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar tried a similar attack.

“With $300 billion, we could end homelessness, fund cancer research for 40 years, and give every child free pre-K for over 7 years. Instead, Trump is sending it to Iran. This is not America First. Not even close,” she wrote June 16.

Democratic New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker ripped the MOU during an appearance Sunday on “Meet the Press.” Booker was responding to a comment made by Democratic strategist James Carville, who recently urged Democrats to give Trump some credit.

“Let’s give Trump credit where credit’s due,” Carville said June 18. “He did what Lyndon Johnson did not do in Vietnam. Just get out. He didn’t do what [George W.] Bush and even Obama did in Afghanistan. Just get out.”

Booker wanted none of it.

“That’s like giving somebody credit for literally an arsonist starting a fire and getting credit for running out of the burning building,” the senator said. “This president has led this nation into a disaster. We have surrendered our power. We have capitulated to the enemy.”

Democratic Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton slammed the MOU, as well, describing it as “basically a surrender document.” Moulton previously tried to bring the war to an end by co-sponsoring a bipartisan War Powers Resolution, which was designed to limit presidential authority to deploy troops without Congress’s approval.

Democratic California Rep. Ro Khanna, who describes himself as anti-war, argued in a Fox News op-ed Monday that although the end to fighting between the U.S. and Iran is “good news,” the MOU deal is weaker than former President Barack Obama’s 2015 deal.

“The ceasefire deal [Trump] and Vice President Vance negotiated delivers Iran a better deal than the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Trump spent years ridiculing,” he wrote.

The California congressman is clearly trying to thread a delicate needle: praising the end of the war while still hitting the president. In other words, he’s being a typical politician.
