Country music sensation Ella Langley tearfully thanked Jesus during her acceptance speech at Sunday’s 2026 American Country Music Awards.
The artist received wins in five categories and praised Jesus and God while onstage.
“Thank you, God, for putting me in a room with these three people right here,” she said while accepting one of her five awards of the evening. Taking the stage again, Langley was overtaken by emotion, and credited fellow artists Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini for their support.
“I’m trying to get to say something, but I can’t,” she began.
Langley continued, “Today I was having a strange day — I don’t know what it is about awards. I walked right into Lainey’s room, and I just got emotional, and she hugged me, wrapped me up and started praying for me.”

“And then all of a sudden, here comes Miranda Lambert in her little pink hat. And I would not be standing up here without the encouragement of so many women. Kelsea, thank you so much for loving on me,” Langley said.
The country music star thanked her family for being by her side throughout her career, and turned the focus on her faith in a moment of s gratitude and appreciation.
“Thank you, Jesus, for letting me do this for a living,” Langley said, fighting back the tears.

Ella Langley has previously credited her faith as a guiding force in her life and career. The singer said she has been a Christian her whole life, but explained that her relationship with God changed when she “started to have ‘faith’” in an April post on Instagram, according to Evie Magazine.
“I started to view the days we have been given as a gift instead of a chore,” she wrote.

Her victories also included Song and Single of the Year for “Choosin’ Texas,” as well as Music Event of the Year alongside Riley Green for their duet “Don’t Mind if I Do.”
The night’s festivities were hosted by fellow country star Shania Twain.
