Another day, another beef.
Jaylen Brown, a star guard for the Boston Celtics, may not be playing anymore basketball for the rest of the season. But with that being said, his beef with ESPN legend Stephen A. Smith is only heating up.
While livestreaming, Brown sent off another shot at Smith after the media personality told him to “be quiet.” Previously, Smith issued a response to the Celtics star making accusations regarding NBA referees and how they allegedly have an “agenda” that’s anti-him. Brown’s comments came after the Philadelphia 76ers returned from down 3-1 to beat Boston in their playoff series.
Brown, named an All-Star five times, posted on Twitter earlier in May that he’d “be quiet” after Smith retires. (RELATED: Fever’s Caitlin Clark Makes More WNBA History After Stat Correction)
“Did he just say I needed to be quiet? Be quiet for who?” said Brown while speaking Sunday night. “Man, f*ck Stephen A. Stephen A, Stephen B, Stephen C. My offer still stands. You want me to be quiet and stop streaming, well, I want you to be quiet and get off these networks because you’re not using your platform to do real journalism. You’re using your platform to use clickbait.
“Tell this motherf*cker to retire because he’s the face of clickbait media at the point and maybe with his retirement we can spark a movement to get the rest of these motherf*ckers out of here — or to also have some type of … forget journalistic integrity, actual integrity in order to hold themselves accountable to the bullsh*t takes they put out.”
Brown was breaking down video of Smith talking about the Celtics star not including teammate Jayson Tatum on his stream, suggesting that Smith is labeled a “clown” because of these kinds of comments. You can watch the clip in its entirety here.

More and more athletes are going to start streaming because of situations like this, and personally, I’m here for it.
