L.A.-based Myriad Pictures has snapped up “A Silent Death,” the latest psychological crime thriller from Sebastian Schindel.

The deal, hammered out between Myriad’s Kirk D’Amico and FilmSharks’ Guido Rud and Federico Pascua, targets a North American release in the third quarter of 2026.

Set in ‘80s Patagonia, the follows a hunting guide who uncovers a brutal crime tied to his niece, dragging him into an investigation that unearths the buried secrets of a dark and violent era. Film stars Joaquín Furriel, the lead in Schindel’s 2014 hit “The Boss, Anatomy of a Crime.”

Said D’Amico: “We are excited to bring this suspenseful, well-crafted and multi-layered film to audiences in North America. Sebastian Schindel superbly directs a talented cast and Guillermo Nieto’s cinematography deftly helps to create a chilling atmosphere to this story of past and present crimes.”

The pic also stars Soledad Villamil (“The Secret in Their Eyes”) and Alejandro Awada (“Nine Queens”).

“Myriad is a legendary label with great eye for cinema and we truly feel we found the best distributor for this cinematic gem in North America,” said Rud, who added that all Latin American rights went to the Walt Disney Company, Movistar+ for Spain and AV Jet for Taiwan.

Talks are underway with France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Korea, Italy and Japan.
