Pat Sajak shared a seemingly bizarre retirement update June 14 on X, quickly drawing attention from fans who spotted something that didn’t quite add up.

The former “Wheel of Fortune” host shared a video alongside the caption, “Update on life.” He wore a striped collared shirt, khaki pants, and sunglasses and stood in front of an oceanfront swimming pool surrounded by palm trees as he enthusiastically updated fans on his life.

“Hi! I know a lot of you have been wondering, asking me how I’m doing, and I’m enjoying life,” the 79-year-old said. “I moved here to Montana and everything is going just great. So, I just want to say hello.”

Fans did a double-take, and immediately flooded the comment section by mocking his questionable (potentially sarcastic) geographical reference.

“Wow! I did not know that Montana had palm trees and beaches 😁,” one person wrote.

“I didn’t know there’s water in Montana 😆” another said.

Other comments included, “lol, I’m very glad I watched that. I was not expecting that at all,” a sarcastic response of, “Ah, yes. The beautiful beaches of Montana,” and a clever message: “Pat, can I have letters ‘w’ ‘h’ ‘a’ ‘t’?”

Another person wrote, “What a nice life- even though some is imaginary😁”

One user credited Sajak’s quirky post by saying, “😆 Funny, charming Pat – the spin master who never goes bankrupt on wit! Happy to see.”

Sajak ended the clip with his signature witty commentary. (RELATED: America250 To Feature Chris Stapleton, Smashing Pumpkins In July 4 Benefit Concert)

“You’ll have to excuse me, I have some cattle to attend to,” he added before calling out, “Here, boy!”

The legendary host stepped away from “Wheel of Fortune” in June 2024 after a four-decade run.
