Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville has doubled down on his R-rated prediction for exactly how, and by when, Donald Trump’s presidency will come to an end.
In March, Carville predicted that Trump would simply “fucking walk away” from the White House by that time in 2027 after, he argued, Republicans suffer a crushing defeat in the 2026 midterm elections and lose control of both the House and Senate.
On the latest episode of his “Politics War Room” podcast, Carville sharpened that prediction, saying Trump will likely quit by Easter 2027, which falls on March 28.
“Trump has no earthly idea of what’s coming for him,” Carville said, suggesting the president is being protected from his dire polling numbers.
“They’re not telling him. The vote against him in November is gonna be, like, breathtaking,” he added.
“I’m telling you, this guy, by Easter of 2027, is just gonna walk away from this job. He’s just gonna fucking walk away because he doesn’t have any idea of what it’s gonna be like when he comes to grips with the massive, I mean it’s gonna be a massive rejection of him and anything to do with him. He won’t last past Easter of 2027 because he has no idea.”
“And they just lie to him and try to keep shit from him, and it’s all gonna come out, and it is gonna be very ugly,” he added.
