Legendary rapper Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony is reportedly fighting for his life in a Los Angeles hospital after an artery allegedly began leaking inside his lungs.
The rap icon checked himself into the hospital Friday after coughing up large quantities of blood, All Hip Hop reported, citing unnamed inside sources. The famous artist suffers from sarcoidosis, an overreaction of the immune system that causes groups of cells to form clusters of inflamed tissues in the organs of the body, according to the outlet. He was rushed into immediate surgery after a scan revealed the artery leaking into his lungs, but the bleeding reportedly did not stop.
Krayzie Bone was sedated and hooked up to a breathing machine, the outlet reported. It remains unclear whether his condition has since changed at the time of writing.
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony member Bizzy Bone wrote “Pray 4 Kray’ on his Instagram story, adding, “Can’t sleep. Sometimes you just gotta pray.”
