I completely forgot it was Pride Month, and then MLB reminded me.
As a lot of you guys know, I’m a big weather buff, specifically when it comes to hurricanes. Every year when June 1 rolls around, I always get hyped for the start of hurricane season, and then when we actually get to the date, I’m always in a good mood for the first few hours. But then, like clockwork every single year, I then get reminded that it’s Pride Month.
And reminding me this year: Major League friggin’ Baseball. (RELATED: Transgender Cyclist Dominates 2 Women’s Races In Oregon By Whopping 48 Minutes Combined)
“From the bleachers to the ballfield and everywhere in between … Baseball is for everyone. #Pride,” tweeted MLB along with a graphic of its logo in rainbow colors.
And just like that, our attention is forced to focus on this. Lucky us, eh?

But you know what … I’m going to take a different route this year. I’m not going to get bummed out that it’s Pride Month, I’m just going to act like it doesn’t exist. To me, it’s just the beginning of hurricane season.
And I could ask you: What would you rather see? Gay rainbows hijacked from God? Or some entertaining hurricane coverage?

Exactly … to me, June 1 is just the beginning of hurricane season.
