A saxophone player fell asleep on stage during Kamala Harris’ Wednesday speech at the Public Counsel’s William O. Douglas Award Dinner in Beverly Hills.
The saxophone player was seen with his head down and eyes closed while seated on stage in video footage taken by an audience member and later shared by TMZ.
Harris ranted against the Trump administration and told the crowd of attendees that “people would take to the streets if they tried to cancel elections” — but the saxophone player apparently missed the message while he dozed off.

Harris didn’t seem to notice that the man had drifted off to sleep, despite being situated just a few feet away from him on the elevated stage.
“They have had an agenda that has been in place for decades to get to this very moment and beyond, which is to make it so difficult for the people to vote that they won’t,” she continued, according to Variety.
“Because they know the people are not stupid and see the corrupt, incompetent, callous administration that is in the White House right now, and they are so damn scared … of losing the midterms.”
The other musicians seated near the sleeping saxophone player seemed attentive and appeared to pay attention to what Harris was saying. (RELATED: Senate Candidate Barry Christian Found Dead In Vehicle)
Video footage shared on Instagram by the Public Counsel showed the musician playing his instrument passionately, but it’s unclear if that footage was captured before, or after, his on-stage snooze.
