Presidente Mexicano No Habla Sobre Narcoviolencia Durante Visita a la Frontera

El presidente de México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, visitó las ciudades fronterizas de Matamoros y Reynosa para inspeccionar el progreso de una serie de cambios en las oficinas de aduanas. Sin embargo, durante esas visitas, el político se negó a abordar la creciente narcoviolencia en el estado alegando que tenía fe en el actual gobernador.

El sábado, López Obrador trajo un gran despliegue de fuerzas militares con vehículos blindados y helicópteros como parte de su destacamento de seguridad durante su visita a Matamoros. Cuando llegó a la oficina de aduanas en uno de los tres puentes internacionales de la ciudad, López Obrador no se detuvo a saludar a los lugareños ni a hablar con los medios de comunicación locales. En las calles, los lugareños gritaron pidiendo ayuda para encontrar a sus seres queridos desaparecidos, mejores condiciones de trabajo y otras peticiones, sin embargo, el político los reconoció brevemente y afirmó que serían escuchados.

Se rehabilitan 15 instalaciones; se han adquirido equipos de vigilancia (rayos X); se construye la oficina nacional de aduanas y un cuartel. Breitbart Texas y otros periodistas locales intentaron hacer preguntas mientras el político pasaba. Cuando se le preguntó sobre la violencia en la región, López Obrador dijo brevemente, “tengan paciencia” y afirmó que confiaba en el gobernador de Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal.

La visita de López Obrador fue privada ya que su equipo de seguridad no permitió que líderes empresariales, medios locales ingresaran a las oficinas ni asistieran a las reuniones. El alcalde de Matamoros, Mario “La Borrega” López, no fue invitado al evento, sin embargo, al día siguiente, el alcalde de Reynosa, Carlos Peña Ortiz, si fue invitado a la visita a la aduana de su ciudad.

Durante la visita a Reynosa, los políticos allí también se negaron a hablar sobre la narcoviolencia de los cárteles que ha plagado a Tamaulipas. Como ha estado informando Breitbart Texas, una serie de guerras territoriales dentro de las facciones rivales del Cartel del Golfo y Los Zetas han llevado la violencia a la mayor parte del estado. En las últimas semanas, caravanas de sicarios en camionetas blindadas se han enfrentado a lo largo de las principales carreteras del estado y en caminos de terracería.

Como informó Breitbart Texas, las fuerzas de la Policía Estatal de Tamaulipas, que en última instancia responden ante el gobernador Américo Villarreal, han evitado en gran medida confrontar a los pistoleros del cártel y solo han respondido después de los tiroteos. Además, Breitbart Texas también ha informado sobre la estrecha relación entre el círculo íntimo de Villarreal y organizaciones criminales como el Cártel del Golfo, donde en la ciudad de Mante han podido operar operaciones de extorsión a gran escala contra ciudadanos comunes con total impunidad.
