The late Hulk Hogan’s former accountant, Melissia Gauthreaux, was reportedly charged with six counts of wire fraud after allegedly embezzling more than $890,000 from a “public figure.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) launched a lengthy investigation into Gauthreaux and claimed she used her business, Accounting Resources and Management Services, to embezzle large amounts of money between 2017 and 2021, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). Sources close to the situation claimed Hogan employed Gauthreaux to perform duties including bookkeeping during that time period; however, Hogan was not officially identified as the victim in this case, according to TMZ.

According to the indictment, Gauthreaux “was the founder, president, and managing member of Accounting Resources and Management Services, LLC,” and used her business to steal money from “a public figure who lived in the Middle District of Florida.”

The DOJ confirmed that “The indictment also notifies Gauthreaux that the United States is seeking an order of forfeiture in the amount of $894,274.26, the proceeds of the charged criminal conduct.”

“Gauthreaux had signatory authority on her client’s bank accounts and was able to remove the funds without the client’s knowledge or consent,” according to the DOJ. (RELATED: Fentanyl And Suicidal Thoughts: Docuseries Exposes Hulk Hogan’s Darkest Struggles)
