Late-night TV host Jimmy Fallon reportedly apologized to the staff of the “Tonight Show” after numerous allegations came out on Thursday that he created a “toxic” work environment.
He told the staff of his show in a Zoom meeting, “it’s embarrassing and I feel so bad,” according to Rolling Stone.
“Sorry if I embarrassed you and your family and friends … I feel so bad I can’t even tell you,” Fallon reportedly continued.
He explained he didn’t intend to create that “type of atmosphere for the show” and that he wanted the show to be fun, according to the outlet.

Two current and 14 former employees claimed the “Tonight Show” has been a “toxic” workplace for years in a report published Thursday morning by Rolling Stone.
The employees claimed there are “good Jimmy days” and “bad Jimmy days,” according to the the outlet.
The report dove into numerous alleged incidents from Fallon. One reported incident in 2017 led his employees to believe he was so intoxicated that he could’ve destroyed his career because of his erratic behavior. (RELATED: ‘Keep Him Isolated Until 2025’: Jimmy Fallon Roasts Biden).
Seven staffers alleged to Rolling Stone that their mental health was affected by the negative atmosphere in the workplace.
The environment has shifted since showrunner Chris Miller joined the “Tonight Show” in May 2022, a source told Page Six. Another producer told the outlet “the atmosphere is very different.”
“We are incredibly proud of The Tonight Show, and providing a respectful working environment is a top priority,” an NBC spokesperson said in a statement, according to Rolling Stone.
“As in any workplace, we have had employees raise issues; those have been investigated and action has been taken where appropriate. As is always the case, we encourage employees who feel they have experienced or observed behavior inconsistent with our policies to report their concerns so that we may address them accordingly,” the spokesperson said.
Fallon has not publicly acknowledged the allegations as of Friday morning.
