Fox News host and conservative podcaster Tomi Lahren tore into the GOP on Tuesday, asking her MAGA followers, “Why should we vote for Republicans in November?” ahead of the midterm elections.
“Mass deportations aren’t happening. Most of us are single issue voters on immigration and DHS under Markwayne has decided they would rather appease CNN and MSNBC,” Lahren wrote on X. “Republicans won’t pass Save America, they won’t support the mass deportations we voted for. They haven’t done, frankly, jack shit outside of a tax cut extension.”
“So why? Why push Maine to vote for Susan Collins?” she continued, naming the longtime Republican senator. “Because at least she’s not an admitted communist?”
“In the end, though, what’s really the difference?” Lahren wrote. “Vote Republican, get Democrat policy anyway.”
Former Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino cheered Lahren’s post on Wednesday and replied, “So well stated!!!”
The conservative pundit’s criticism of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin comes amid at least three back-to-back killings involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old Houston man who was not the person ICE was trying to apprehend, was fatally shot during a July 7 operation.
In Maine, Joan Sebastian Guerrero, 26, another man who was not ICE’s intended target, was also fatally shot on Monday.
Another man, 28, was struck by a tractor-trailer and killed in St. Augustine, Florida, after authorities say he ran from an encounter with federal agents.
ICE is now reportedly telling its agents to pause vehicle stops. But on Wednesday, President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that “we must be strong, tough, and smart, and we CANNOT give up one of I.C.E.’s most important and effective Crime Fighting tools, THE TRAFFIC STOP!”
“Once we do, we are playing right into the criminal’s hands,” he continued. “The Radical Left Dumocrats would like to see this done, but it won’t happen on my watch. I.C.E., be judicious, fair and smart, and go back and do your very important job.”
Lahren later clarified Wednesday that her post was “not a referendum on President Trump.”
“It’s the disgraceful members of the US Senate who have failed him at every turn. They all pretended to be America first and then betrayed us,” she wrote.
