Travis Tritt Says Tour Is Dropping Anheuser-Busch Products Over Bud Light’s Partnership With Trans Influencer

A country music star has decided to ban Anheuser-Busch products from his tour hospitality rider over their brand partnership with a high-profile transgender influencer.

Travis Tritt, a Grammy Award-winning country artist, announced on Twitter that he would not allow products from the brewing company in his hospitality rider. Tritt’s announcement comes on the heels of transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney announcing a brand partnership with Bud Light, one of Anheuser-Busch’s most popular alcoholic beverage lines.

“I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same,” Tritt tweeted.

“Other artists who are deleting Anheuser-Busch products from their hospitality rider might not say so in public for fear of being ridiculed and cancelled. I have no such fear,” Tritt continued. (RELATED: CMT Music Awards Snubs Best-Selling Country Musician Morgan Wallen)

Anheuser-Busch has come under fire over their decision to partner with Mulvaney. Some online commentators have implied that the company betrayed their consumer base. Musician Kid Rock shot at Bud Light products to emphasize his disapproval of the brand’s decision to partner with the transgender influencer.

Tritt’s decision to distance himself with the brewing company over their support for the transgender star runs counter to other country stars. On Sunday, country star Kelsea Ballerini took the stage with multiple drag queens during the CMT Music Awards while an LGBT Pride Flag was prominently displayed in the background. That decision polarized many social commentators, who lamented that country music had fallen to the pressures of social progressivism.
