President Trump on Monday warned that Iran will pay “many times over” after multiple US troops were killed in action this past week.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Iranian airstrikes in Jordan left several US servicemembers injured, U.S. Central Command announced on Saturday. Another US service member was also killed in action in Iraq on Saturday.

CENTCOM further announced that US personnel found unidentified remains presumed to be from the missing US service member from an attack on a Jordanian base.

The Pentagon identified the two soldiers confirmed killed in action on Monday as Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas, and First Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

President Trump previously responded to the death of the US troops, describing it as “a very sad thing,” adding, “We hate to see it happen. They were in service of our country.”

On Monday, Trump announced that he’s given a directive to War Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Kaine to make Iran pay “many times over.”

Every time Iran kills an American Soldier they will pay for that killing many times over! This directive has been passed on to Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Daniel Caine, and every Leader in the Military. President DONALD J. TRUMP

This also comes as the US launches a renewed airstrike campaign, and heavy strikes are expected to continue.

Iran began targeting ships in the Strait of Hormuz again earlier this month in violation of the signed memorandum of understanding with Iran. The US later reinstated the US Naval blockade on Iranian ports and started bombing Iran nonstop in response.

US Central Command forces completed a ninth consecutive round of nightly strikes against Iran on Sunday, aimed at “holding Iran accountable at the Commander in Chief’s direction.”

CENTCOM released video from the attacks on Sunday night.

WATCH:

During the NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey, President Trump declared the US-Iran ceasefire was “over,” with harsh words for the Iranians after repeated violations of the memorandum of understanding signed last month. “I don’t want to deal with them anymore. They’re scum,” Trump said days before the nine-day bombing streak started, describing Iranian leaders as “sick people” and “vicious, violent people.”

President Trump previously threatened to escalate the war further by targeting Iran’s energy, oil, and transportation infrastructure starting this week.

The President has further refused to rule out a ground invasion of Iran and suggested that he would take over Iran’s oil export hub of Kharg Island.
