Fox’s Brian Kilmeade and Lawrence Jones showed their true colors on Fox and Friends Tuesday, slamming Vice President JD Vance as “anti-Israel” because he did not endorse Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for reelection.
“I’m not anti-endorsing. I’m not pro-endorsing,” Vance said in an interview with Mark Halperin on Monday. “I’m not getting involved in the Israeli elections.”
Vance further said he’s currently focused on the US midterms.
Somehow this adds to Vance’s apparent “anti-Israel” streak, according to Kilmeade.
“He went out of his way to say, even though the President endorsed Bibi Netanyahu, ‘I am not.’ He says, ‘I’m staying out of it,’” Kilmeade went out of his way to say on the air.
“That’s interesting because the wrap on him is he seems to be a little bit anti-Israel.”
Co-host Ashley Earnhardt agreed with Kilmeade, saying, “right,” as Jones continued the anti-Vance pile-on.
“Unforced error,” said Jones. “There’s no reason to say that”
Kilmeade again chimed in, “You know who he did vote for? He went and campaigned for Viktor Orban in Hungary, so you can’t say I don’t worry about other people’s elections, when you go see Viktor Orban in Hungary, who lost.”
“Good point, good point,” Earnhardt agreed, as Jones condemned Vance as “disappointing.”
WATCH:
Notably, Trump just endorsed Netanyahu less than two weeks before the October 27 election after seemingly avoiding weighing in following tensions between Trump and Netanyahu during the Iran war.
Trump has previously shown signs of disagreement with Netanyahu on numerous occasions. In July, Trump told reporters, “Nobody tells me what we should be selling or not,” in response to Netanyahu opposing the sale of F-35s to Turkey. Also in July, Trump told reporters that Netanyahu “knows who the boss is” ahead of a closed-door meeting at the White House.
In June, Trump called Netanyahu out at the G7 Summit in Evian, France, over Israeli attacks in Lebanon, which almost caused his memorandum of understanding with Iran to collapse. “You don’t have to knock down an apartment house every time you’re looking for somebody because there are a lot of people in those apartment houses, and they’re not all Hezbollah, that I can tell you,” Trump said, condemning Netanyahu’s attacks in Beirut, Lebanon. “Bibi has to be more responsible.” Days before this, Trump said he was “so pisse[d] off” over the strikes, saying that Netanyahu “has no f*cking judgment.”
It can also be recalled that Trump lashed out at Netanyahu during a heated phone call earlier in June, with reports suggesting that Trump called him “f*cking crazy” for continuing the war amid US-Iran negotiations, accused Netanyahu of ingratitude, and referenced helping keep him out of jail during his corruption trial.
