The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office dropped the charges against country music star Bailey Zimmerman soon after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Zimmerman was accused of damaging a hotel room at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque in May, causing $16,000 in damages.
The DA’s office said the case was dismissed because full restitution was made, according to KRQE News.
The outlet reported that Zimmerman’s lawyer issued a statement Wednesday night addressing the change of course.
“Charges were dropped after Bailey took immediate responsibility for his mistake,” the star’s representative said.
“We are grateful to the Pueblo of Sandia and the District Attorney’s Office for this just and swift resolution.”

Zimmerman was accused of chaotic behavior prior to his May 27 performance at the resort, according to an affidavit obtained by People. He allegedly charged $400 worth of alcohol to the room that was not paid for. After efforts to resolve the matter proved unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for his arrest June 18.
The famous ultimately canceled his own show on the night of the alleged incident.
Zimmerman stated his lawyer addressed the Pueblo of Sandia and his fans, according to KOAT Action 7 News.
“I want to address the events surrounding my canceled show in New Mexico in May and the reports that have followed,” he said.

Zimmerman continued, “I take full accountability for everything that happened and I am sorry to anyone who feels hurt or disrespected.”
“I am taking this legal matter seriously. I am committed to doing the work necessary to learn and grow,” he said.
The country star is continuing to travel and perform as part of his “Different Night Same Rodeo Tour.”
