Hayden Panettiere’s former co-stars, friends, family and fans are remembering the “Nashville” and “Heroes” actor following her death at age 36.
The cause of death has not been released.
Panettiere’s father, Skip Panettiere, hailed her as “an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her – and to the millions who watched her onscreen” in a statement announcing her death on Sunday.
“I love you. Don’t be gone. Don’t be gone. Please. Please,” actor Selma Blair commented on Panettiere’s latest Instagram post dated July 27, which the late star had captioned “good times and good friends.”
TV personality Rosie O’Donnell wrote on Instagram, “Oh my god – heartbroken.”
Viola Davis, who appeared with Panettiere in dramas “The Architect” and “Custody,” called her an “amazing talent,” writing on Instagram that she wished “the world had more time with you because I had a burning curiosity about who you were becoming.”
Podcast host Jay Shetty, who interviewed Panettiere this year, wrote on Variety’s post sharing the news, “I can’t believe it. Our friendship had just begun and I was so moved by the conversation we shared earlier this year.”
He wrote in another comment, “Truly heartbroken by this news.”
Her “Scream” co-star David Arquette commented on the same Variety post: “I love you Hayden.”
“One Tree Hill” star Bethany Joy-Lenz, who’d known Pannettiere for years, said on Instagram that she was “crushed” by the news.
