Metso has extended its long-term supply agreement with a major mining company in South America for the provision of MX crusher wear parts used in Nordberg MP1250 crushers.
The contract, which spans three years, represents an annual business volume of approximately €10m ($11.43m).
It involves providing wear parts for the mining company’s current fleet of Metso crushing equipment, further supporting Metso’s presence and original equipment manufacturer aftermarket services at the location.
Under the supply only arrangement, Metso will keep a specific stock of parts on-site to meet the customer’s usage needs.
The company will also offer technical support, which includes engineering presence and continuously tracking crusher performance and liner wear at the site.
The first deliveries under the new agreement were recorded in Metso’s Minerals segment’s orders received for the first quarter of 2026 (Q1 2026).

The agreement is supported by collaborative technology development and ongoing improvements aimed at enhancing equipment performance and operational efficiency.
The company’s MX wear parts solutions are designed to extend component wear life and reduce the frequency of maintenance shutdowns.
They aim to help mining operations improve productivity and reduce operational risks linked to liner replacement.
Metso expanded its MX solution offering in 2024 to cover large cone crushers in Nordberg HP Series and MP Series applications.
Metso’s MX wear parts are part of the Metso Plus portfolio.
Last month, Metso announced an investment in new mineralogy analysis technology at its research centre in Pori, Finland.
