Rebecca Kutler is the president of MSNOW, the cable ‘news’ network formerly known as MSNBC.
She did an interview with Wired two weeks ago, but people are paying attention to it now because some clips have started circulating on social media.
In one amazingly ridiculous segment, Kutler claims that the network has a broad range of views, and as proof of this, she holds up Michael Steele, the former chairman of the RNC.
Steele is a Trump-hating Republican who has embraced the far left and now holds opinions that are no different than Rachel Maddow.

I would say that, for the average person, if you ask them, “Fox News, MS NOW, who do those networks reach?” I would say Fox News reaches Republicans, and that’s who has it on TV, that’s who’s going to that website. I would say MS NOW reaches progressives, Democrats, left-leaning people. Is that a stated goal for you, or do you want that tent to be bigger?
Is the audience for MS NOW different from the audience for Fox? Of course it is. There’s probably a small amount of overlap, but not a lot, and that’s OK.
For example, when I think forward to election night, I gotta say, I think there’s nowhere I’d rather hang out on election night than at our table with Rachel and Nicolle [Wallace] and Lawrence and Chris [Hayes] and Michael [Steele] and everyone.
What we try to do is be smart, respect our audience, and be a fun place, and a place where, again, Michael Steele is a big part of our election night. He was chairman of the Republican National Committee.
Right.
We have a broad range of views, but I think they all fall under that pro-democracy banner.

MSNOW does not have a wide range of views. There is not a single pro-Trump voice on the entire network.
