My man went harder on the field than 95% of Democrats on policy!
Wednesday night at the annual Congressional Baseball Game, which took place at Nationals Park in Washington D.C., the Republican Party absolutely smashed its Democratic opposition.
The 11-2 victory for the GOP against the Democrats is the sixth consecutive year that the red elephants have taken out the blue donkeys. (RELATED: Democrats Already Freaking Out About 2027 Congressional Baseball Game As Mark Teixeira Expected To Join Republicans)
When it comes to the highlight of the game, you’ve gotta give that to Sen. Eric Schmitt, who made an absolutely insane catch in the bottom of the third inning. After it looked like Rep. Johnny Olszewski (D-MD) was going to get an extra-base hit, Schmitt made a diving play around the left field line to rob his Democratic counterpart, and to make the scene even better, Schmitt gave us one hell of a run to get there. Schmitt’s heroics left him with a bloody nose, but you know what they say, “a win is a win.”
The Missouri senator also did his thing as a batter, racking up a couple of hits and two drawn walks.
“Left it all on the field,” wrote Schmitt on Twitter following the contest, stating that he was “honored to be named MVP.”

This was the Democrats’ last chance to win this game for a very long time with Mark Teixeira incoming for the GOP … Dems are so cooked.
