“Don’t worry, Donald, it’s me — your best friend, Jeffrey Epstein,” began the “SNL” host while donning ghastly attire and haunting Trump during one of his “patented mid-work naps” in the Oval Office.
“Jeffrey? But I thought you were dead?” asked a startled Trump in the sketch.
“I am, remember? I killed myself — wink!” replied the faux Epstein, a not-so-subtle nod to conspiracy theories surrounding the late convicted sex offender’s suicide.
Johnson’s Trump proceeded to catch Ferrell’s Epstein up to speed on his second term, remarking his “approval ratings in the 30s.”
“Oh, the 30s? Gross. Call me when it hits 17,” replied Ferrell before the two shared a laugh together.
The faux Epstein later looked back on the “fun times” he shared with his old buddy Trump, adding that they “should’ve taken more pictures” together.
“No, it’s really bad that we took any,” Johnson’s Trump said.
Ferrell’s Epstein closed with a blunt reminder for his friend-in-chief: “No matter how many wars you start or how bad you tank the economy as a distraction, people will always associate you with me.”
