After two straight days of opening above $4,700, this morning’s opening gold price pulled back from those levels after yesterday’s latest inflation report, but is holding at a double-digit month-over-month increase.
The latest look at inflation, the Fed’s preferred inflation gauge, the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE), only amplified the “division within the central bank on whether to raise interest rates” next month, wrote Yahoo Finance’s Jen Schonberger.
