A couple of new super-faces are coming to Metropolis.
Variety can exclusively reveal the first trailer for Season 3 of Adult Swim’s “My Adventures With Superman,” which introduces the evil Cyborg Superman and young hero Superboy to the series. The new season premieres on Saturday, June 13, at midnight ET/PT on Adult Swim and streams the next day on HBO Max.
“Glee” and Broadway star Darren Criss voices Superboy, who’s seen annoying Superman (Jack Quaid) and Lois Lane (Alice Lee) with never-ending questions in the trailer. The Man of Steel fights several new villains in the trailer, but the most formidable foe is Cyborg Superman. Season 2 introduced the robot’s alter ego, Hank Henshaw (Max Mittelman), who builds himself a mechanical Superman body and can control machines in the comics. Luckily, Superman isn’t alone to face the evil imposter. He’s joined by his cousin Supergirl (Kiana Madeira), Lois and their friend, the ever intrepid reporter, Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid).
A spinoff series, titled “My Adventures With Green Lantern,” is also coming soon to Adult Swim and HBO Max. It’ll follow Green Lantern Corps. member Jessica Cruz, who’s expected to debut in Season 3. Next up in the live-action DC Universe, Milly Alcock is starring in this summer’s “Supergirl,” while David Corenswet returns for his “Superman” sequel “Man of Tomorrow” next year.
Jake Wyatt and Brendan Clogher are co-executive producers and showrunners for “My Adventures with Superman.” The series is also executive produced by James Gunn, Peter Safran, and Sam Register, with Kimberly S. Moreau serving as producer.
